Director & Lead Teacher
Vickie developed the Parent-tot program while teaching PreK 3 classes in Michigan nearly 20 years ago. After moving to CT and becoming a Preschool Director, Vickie recognized a need in the community for her Parent-tot program. She first offered her class to the local preschool families but, as interest grew, she had to train another teacher and expand to a second class.
Vickie has observed, first hand, the benefits to those children who attended the Parent-tot classes and how easily they transitioned into her 3s classes.
After she retired as a Preschool Director, Vickie decided to start Parent-tot LLC so she could continue offering her classes to young families.
She and her husband, Bob, have raised 3 children and have 3 grandchildren.
Vickie has 29 + years experience teaching and working with children.
She has taught every Preschool age from 2 year olds to young 5s.
Her PreK 3s classes in MI were very diverse and gave her the opportunity to teach many ELL children, (English Language Learners).
She has taught special education children in Elementary school - Jr. High.
She has a double major in Elementary Education and Learning Behavioral Disorders from Bowling Green State University.
Vickie has presented on “Positive Intentional Parenting” and has mentored many young parents.
She is well connected in the Preschool community. Parent-tot is her passion and her heart.
